We arrive in western Sicily, in Trapani, the city between two seas, famous for its Baroque historic center and the spectacular Salt Pans Nature Reserve. Here, the landscape changes radically, tinged with white and pink.
The historic windmills standing along the salt extraction basins create a scene of rare charm, especially at sunset, when the sky ignites with reddish and purple shades reflecting on the water. Living in the Trapani area means breathing an air steeped in seafaring history, close to the wonders of the Egadi islands and enchanting medieval villages like Erice.
Tomorrow we will visit the very peak of that magical village. Don't miss it!
